To help nonverbal kids express their needs, and to build upon the strengths of the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and contemporary information technology, we created a customizable AAC device which can flexibly generate up to 48 different activities in 4 modes. To meet the growing needs of a developing child via ubiquitous smart phones/tablets, our company developed an android app named “Bolte-Chai”.
